WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A Senate panel on Thursday approved President Barack Obama's picks to fill out the Federal Trade Commission, Julie Brill and Edith Ramirez, sending their nominations to the Senate floor. If confirmed, the two will join an FTC that was relatively business friendly during the Bush administration but has become increasingly aggressive. The agency filed suit against chip giant Intel on Wednesday, accusing it of marketing practices that violate antitrust law.
