Dorothy Cuccia has no illusions about her son. The mother of four from Vineland knows her second-oldest, Pedro Torres, can no longer live with her. He once tried to kill her and threatened to kill his sister and her unborn baby.
But when Torres attacked and severely injured a fellow patient at the Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, Cuccia said she had to come to her son's defense.
