Abortions hit 30-year low in United States: study |

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The abortion rate in the United States has hit a 30-year low, with the decline particularly marked among teens, who once had the highest rate of abortion, a report showed Wednesday. "Many Americans will welcome the news that there are fewer abortions, particularly among teens, and that a larger proportion of abortions are now happening very early in pregnancy," said Sharon Camp, president of the Guttmacher Institute which compiled the report.
