WASHINGTON -- New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez is visiting Afghanistan as part of a weeklong anti-terrorism trip. The Democratic Foreign Relations Committee member is part of a delegation hoping to get a handle on rising violence, a resurgent Taliban and regrouped al Qaeda along the Afghan-Pakistan border.
