by Elizabeth Moore/The Star-Ledger The borough of Caldwell issued a boil water advisory today after a sampling taken on Monday showed the presence of E.coli bacteria. Water should be boiled for one minute prior to consumption or cooking. It is safe to use for bathing, washing clothes or watering the lawn without boiling, officials said. The advisory was issued at 12:50 p.m. today and township employees along with local volunteers are going door-to-door throughout the community to notify residents.
