An illegal immigrant from Mexico faces 23 years in prison for killing another man during an argument at a Passaic bodega in 2006.

Juan Diaz, 36, must serve at least 85 percent of his term before being eligible for parole. He will be deported once he is released, under terms of a sentence imposed by Judge Ernest M. Caposela in Superior Court in Paterson on Friday.
