By HEATHER HADDON When Dr. Felix Roque sees someone dressed in green military fatigues, pride wells up in his chest, a respect driven by 32 years in the Army Reserve. The energetic Roque always dreamed of being a wartime medic, but a busy pain management practice kept him tied to North Jersey. That changes today, when Roque, 51, ships out to Fort Sam Houston, Texas, to treat the aftermath of war -- the amputated limbs, shrapnel wounds and herniated discs that cause excruciating pain long after battles are over. |
