By WILLIAM H. SOKOLIC Among its other work, Pleasantville's A.C. Coin & Slot designs slot environments for casino floors. It's done such work in Las Vegas and Canada, among other locales. But this week, the company debuts the first arena in its backyard with the opening of the 3,000-square-foot Havana Rooftop Slots, so named because it overlooks the main casino floor at the Tropicana Casino & Resort. "It's like a nightclub for slots," said Mac Seelig, owner of A.C. Coin. In addition to the slot machines, the environment includes murals of old Havana, a high-end sound system piping Cuban music, even the smell of hibiscus and coffee, citrus and cigars. Palm trees are on the way. |
