A Morristown woman whose husband allegedly tried to drown her in the bathtub last week at their Western Avenue home was declared dead Wednesday evening at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Her husband has been charged with her murder.

Eliana Torres, the 26-year-old mother of two young children, was declared dead at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, although her body has been kept on life support so that her organs may be donated, authorities said.

Torres had been listed in critical condition since Friday when, authorities say, husband Kleber Cordova, 29, held her down for three minutes in bathwater after an argument.
