Up in Washington Heights, home to a large stretch of Broadway, word of the 13 Tony nominations for neighborhood homage "In the Heights" left the locals beaming - if not dancing in the streets.

"I'm proud," said Raul Rodriguez, 21, wearing his Yankees gear uptown, where the brightest lights typically twinkle from the George Washington Bridge. "It's my neighborhood."
