The chief executive of the company that owns Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center will discuss its plan to shutter the city's acute care hospital at next week's Plainfield City Council meeting.

Solaris CEO John McGee will give a 30-minute presentation at Monday's 8 p.m. meeting. He will formally go over the reasons for the controversial decision, which is still being reviewed by the state Department of Health and Senior Services, said company spokesman Steven Weiss.
