BY PETER J. SAMPSON A Governor Corzine aide testifying Tuesday at the corruption trial of Guttenberg Mayor David Delle Donna rebutted accusations by the defense that he pocketed illegal campaign contributions. Javier Inclan, deputy chief of staff to the governor, ended three days of testimony by saying he never accepted any gifts or cash from Luisa Medrano, the Cliffside Park bar owner who prosecutors allege showered the mayor and his wife, Anna, with thousands of dollars in “corrupt payments.” A spokeswoman for Corzine declined to respond to specific questions but said the governor believes Inclan did the right thing in testifying for the prosecution. |
