LOS ANGELES (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Investor's Business Daily Editorial Cartoonist Michael Ramirez has won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartoons.

The Pulitzer is the second for Ramirez. He has also received three other honorary distinctions so far this year. He is the winner of the 2008 John Fischetti Editorial Cartoon Competition and was a finalist for the 2008 Scripps Howard Foundation National Journalism Award and the 2008 NCS Division Award for Editorial Cartoons.

Ramirez is a Lincoln Fellow and has won several awards during his career, including the 1994 Pulitzer Prize; the UCI Medal from the University of California, Irvine and the Sigma Delta Chi Awards in 1995 and 1997. He is nationally syndicated in over 450 newspapers around the world.
