Soledad Vela is planning to open a restaurant in the city to bring her beloved Peruvian dishes to South Jersey.

Vela was born in the state of Loreto, one of the rain forest regions in Peru and has lived in Cherry Hill for nearly a year. Her new restaurant will open at Market and Cooper streets.

Vela is motivated by an entrepreneurial spirit and a longing for home.
