By CHRISTINE SPARTA RUTGERS — Some small-business owners got tips on expanding their ventures Saturday. The entrepreneurs met with representatives from state agencies at Gov. Jon S. Corzine's Latino Economic Growth Expo. The event, which was held on the Busch campus of Rutgers University, gave individuals a glimpse of resources that could help them such as the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development's Business Resource Center, a place where people can learn about such things like training grants and tax information. Gloria Montealegre, deputy press secretary for the governor, said that the state spends $3 billion a year purchasing products from vendors in New Jersey.
