By ERICA HARBATKIN NEW BRUNSWICK -- Gov. Jon S. Corzine emphasized his commitment to education Friday, noting that schools are receiving aid increases under the 2009 budget while aid to other programs and services statewide are being cut. "Let's make no mistake: $614 million (more than last year) is going to be spent on education this year -- the largest of every other element of our budget, other than principal and interest," Corzine told the New Jersey Association of School Administrators in a meeting at McKinley Community School.
