By HEATHER APPEL In Passaic County, foreclosure filings have increased by almost 150 percent since 2005. Now, housing organizations are bracing themselves for another wave of cases. As the housing crisis and credit debacle continue to depress the national economy, new lending data shows the real estate collapse is especially severe in Passaic County, where foreclosures have more than tripled from this time last year. January saw a staggering 714 foreclosure filings in Passaic County, compared with 227 reported for the same period in 2007.
