By BARBARA S. ROTHSCHILD The board of education unanimously approved a resolution to keep "To Kill A Mockingbird" in the high school English curriculum when it met Tuesday. The vote was 8-0. Board member Nancy O'Dowd was absent. A resident had objected to the novel's depiction of how blacks are treated by members of a racist white community in an Alabama town during the Depression.
