By Maria Elena Salinas His withdrawal from the presidential race would not have been so surprising if it wasn't that just a few days before, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson specifically said that even if he came in fourth in the New Hampshire primary, he would stay in the race for the White House. The first and only Latino presidential hopeful was banking on what he considered the "strong Latino states in the West," where he felt he would garner more support -- first in Nevada, then in states like California, Arizona, Colorado and his own state of New Mexico on Super Tuesday.
