Brushing aside his loss in New Hampshire, Barack Obama took the stage before a rally of buoyant supporters in Jersey City this afternoon, trying to shore up New Jersey support for his presidential campaign.

"My voice is a little hoarse. My eyes are a little bleary," Obama said. "My back is a little sore. But my spirit is strong, and I am ready to bring about change in America. How about you?"

Cheers of "yes, we can" and "fired up, ready to go" echoed in the packed auditorium at St. Peter's College before the Democratic senator from Illinois stepped to the microphone. A blue banner reading "Change we can believe in" stretched behind him.
