By Mel Fabrikant The bitter cold evening did not prevent onlookers from crowding in like sardines on Thursday, January 3rd to watch the Annual Reorganization Meeting. The meeting was held at the Administration Building, One Bergen County Plaza, Hackensack in the Freeholders meeting room. Valerie Coniglio, Clerk to the Board of Chosen Freeholders, opened the meeting ... US Senator Robert Menendez was on hand to swear in Freeholder Tomas Padilla who was later reappointed Chairman. Liz Calabrese was also sworn in and reappointed as Vice Chairwoman. Like the other, James M. Carroll had his family present to share the swearing in honors with him.
