By DANIELLE SHAPIRO PATERSON -- When Reynaldo Amaya came to the United States two years ago from El Salvador, he had only completed the fourth grade. His lack of academic experience initially landed him in an elementary school class at School 8. But Reynaldo, who is now 15, simply didn't fit in. "(I felt) bad because the other children used to make fun of me,"Amaya said in Spanish at Eastside High School on Monday as his teacher Eileen Polanco translated. Since starting classes in the school district's Academic Community English Skills program at Eastside, however, things have been looking up for Amaya.
