SPECIAL TO THE HERALD NEWS A big-name law firm in New York recently invited a Glamour magazine staffer to talk to women lawyers about corporate fashion. About 40 women, all employees of the international firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, showed up for the presentation, in which the Glamour junior staffer showed slides and pronounced which styles were fashion "dos" and which were fashion "don'ts." An Afro hair style, the magazine employee is reported to have said, is a fashion "don't." |
