The statement by Governor Paterson of New York, that a defeat for Sen. Obama would be racism is outright preposterous. Using that ridiculous argument, then a defeat for MacCain would mean that the minorities that did not vote for him are racist? Ludicrous! We are all Americans first, not some hyphenated American.

The use of the "African-American","Mexican-American", et al., name is also ridiculous, as the white immigrants from South Africa or Rhodesia can not nor will they identify themselves as "African-Americans" nor will their descendants. Imagine for a moment if all Americans were to add their country of origin or their descendants to their names, what a mess that would be. This is not a homogenous country, but a mixture and a representation of all the people of the world. So when the census questionaire comes around and asks for race, say American, with pride!!!!!! As I have said before, Obama is NOT an African-American, as his mother is a white woman!! He is biracial! Geez!
